About Blue Security
Blue Security has a long and proud history of serving the Durban and broader Kwa-Zulu Natal community for over 35 years. Since 1989, we have grown from a small business into an entity that has become a trusted household name.
Today, Blue Security has evolved into one of the dominant security forces in Southern Africa and proudly boasts the efforts that go into creating safe and thriving communities. The Blue Security Story
Blue Security was initially founded as Enforce Security – a company focused on guarding. Stakeholders then acquired a range of local security firms in the late 1990’s, which led to exponential growth. It was at this point when we diversified our service offering towards specialising in electronic intruder detection and armed response services.
In 1998, we became the first security company in Africa to be awarded an ISO 9002 Accreditation in both our electronic and guarding divisions.
Big business decisions were made in the early 2000’s, and Enforce Security merged to become Enforce Security Group. This saw our company fill the position of the largest privately owned security group in South Africa.
In 2003, we made the decision to sell the national guarding division in order to focus on the development of the Durban-based armed response operation. This led to the establishment of two separate entities: Enforce Guarding and Enforce Electronics.
After 17 successful years in the industry, we decided to re-brand the company. Following months of research, planning and preparation, Blue Security was launched in 2006.

Blue Security has since been at the forefront of security and has won multiple industry awards, including Durban’s Number 1 Security Company and one of the companies doing the most to fight crime for 12 consecutive years.
