Blue Security’s Tactical Unit received information regarding a hijacked truck in the vicinity of Tara Road and immediately issued a BOLO alert to AROs in the area. Within minutes, one of our AROs located the vehicle, which had collided with a tree upon entering a sports field parking area near Basil February Road.
Our Tactical Officer arrived on the scene shortly afterward. Witnesses reported that two suspects had fled in a grey vehicle. It was later confirmed that the truck had been hijacked near Amanzimtoti.
The vehicle was swiftly recovered and handed over to the tracking company and SAPS Wentworth for further investigation.
