Incident: Stolen Refrigerator Compressor Recovered in West Riding
On Saturday morning at 07:20, a suspect entered a client’s business property by jumping the side wire fence and stole a refrigerator compressor from the rear exterior wall. Blue Security’s CCPU met with the client and reviewed footage to identify the suspect.
While patrolling the area in search of the suspect, our CCPU officer spotted an individual fitting the description, carrying a bin bag along the railway line in West Riding. The officer immediately called for assistance from our Tactical Team and stopped the suspect. Upon inspecting the bin bag, the stripped remains of the stolen compressor were found. The suspect admitted to taking it from the business property.
SAPS and a West Riding Neighbourhood Watch patroller attended the scene. A case was opened, and the suspect was detained.
