Location: Bowker Road, Malvern
Incident: Attempted Robbery & Weapon Posession
A vigilant resident witnessed the attempted robbery of a domestic worker along Bowker Road, Malvern. The witness followed the suspect, providing a detailed description but lost sight of him along Main Road. Our Blue Security CCPU swiftly responded, spotting the suspect on the M7 opposite Wall Road.
When the suspect noticed our vehicle, he fled up the bank onto Wall Road. Other CCPU members gave chase, pursuing him onto the railway lines, where he fled towards Malvern Railway Station. With assistance from a member of the Malvern CPF, our CCPU Officer held observation at the station and spotted the suspect crossing Main Road. The suspect was cornered in a T-room along Main Road and apprehended.
Upon search, the suspect was found in possession of a knife. He was handed over to Malvern SAPS for further investigation. Unfortunately, the victim had already left the scene, and attempts to locate them were unsuccessful.
