Incident: Home Invasion & Attempted Robbery with Weapon
Blue Security’s ARO responded to a panic activation at a residence on Jan Smuts Avenue, Mosley. Upon arrival, he noticed the client’s vehicle reversing out of the gate and immediately called for backup.
Three additional ARO teams quickly responded to support. When they arrived, the client’s vehicle was found parked outside, facing the gate.
The tenant on-site reported that two suspects had entered the home through a bedroom window. Armed with a firearm, they demanded money and cell phones. The tenant stated that one suspect fired a shot during the robbery, but thankfully, no one was injured.
The suspects stole two cell phones, the tenant’s car keys, and her vehicle from the garage. However, the suspects abandoned the vehicle and fled in an unknown direction, as they spotted the ARO vehicles responding to the scene.
The area was thoroughly patrolled, but no further signs of the suspects were found. Malvern SAPS attended the scene for further investigation.
