Trespassing: 87 incidents were reported, indicating a slight increase. This rise highlights the importance of maintaining secure property boundaries and increasing vigilance.
Burglary: With 58 reported cases, burglary incidents have decreased, reflecting positive progress in our efforts to secure both homes and businesses.
Common Theft: There were 122 incidents, a small decrease from previous months, but it remains a significant area where the community must stay alert.
Armed Robbery: 20 cases were recorded, a minor increase compared to the previous month, emphasising the need for continued awareness and safety measures.
Crime Trends Analysis
Day vs. Night: The majority of crimes occurred during the day, with 201 incidents compared to 140 night-time incidents. These figures highlight that daytime vigilance continues to be crucial in crime prevention.
Weekly Overview: Mondays experienced the highest crime rates, with 69 incidents, while Saturday saw the fewest with 47 incidents. This trend points to a need for heightened security measures earlier in the week.
Operational Highlights
SNIPR Vehicle Reads: Over 8.3 million SNIPR vehicle reads were recorded, helping to identify and prevent potential criminal activity in the area.
Patrol Coverage: Our patrol teams covered 635,865 kilometres in September, ensuring a strong security presence and quick response times across our neighbourhoods.
Monthly Signals: 107,586 signals were logged this month, highlighting the active engagement of the community with security systems.
