An alleged Durban North housebreaker was arrested by a Blue Security armed response officer, following a swift response to Everest Road last night.
Blue Security Durban North tactical ambassador Brendan Porter said the two officers respond to the scene after receiving a report that a burglary was in progress. The incident occurred at around 7.30pm.
“When the officers arrived at the scene they found that a garage window had been broken and that an intruder had gained entry onto the premises. The officers spotted the suspect fleeing from the property towards North Coast Road and gave chase,” Porter said.
“One of the officers managed to arrest the suspect in North Coast Road. He was in possession of a microwave that he had allegedly stolen from the property,” Porter said.
SAPS was alerted to the scene of the crime.
