On 26th November 2024, Blue Security’s Tactical Officer demonstrated exceptional vigilance during a routine patrol along the N2.
While on patrol, the officer noticed an individual who was circulated by SAPS as wanted for failure to appear in court on charges related to tampering with infrastructure. A Warrant of Arrest had been issued for the suspect, and the officer immediately recognised the individual, calling for SAPS support to assist with the apprehension.
With quick coordination, Blue Security’s Tactical Officer successfully cornered the suspect, ensuring the individual was detained safely while awaiting SAPS Amanzimtoti Crime Prevention members to arrive. Once SAPS arrived on scene, the suspect was handed over in accordance with the warrant.
The suspect will now appear in court to face the charges related to tampering with infrastructure.
