It is likely, given the location and similarity between these crimes, that a syndicate is operating in the area. Blue security is actively involved in community policing and has been so since the first COPS initiative was established in partnership with the Glenmore community in the late 90s. In essence, the COPS operational philosophy is to draw on the proven principles of Neighbourhood Watch, but to replace the patrolling and operational functions with a well-trained, effectively armed and equipped response officer. In addition to providing dedicated armed patrols and security officers, the COPS programme is about collecting, managing and acting on crime intelligence. The COPS programme is a very effective method to eradicating crime in neighbourhoods.
