Blue Security is a community driven organisation and as such is involved in various community based initiatives such as COPS (our own Community Policing Services initiaves), Security Awareness Training for domestic workers and businesses, as well as being actively involved with the SA Police Services through the various Community Policing Forums.

COPS is Blue Security's answer to the the increasing demand for a more pro-active approach to crime prevention. The objective of the Blue Security COPS (Community Policing Service) is to create a veritable “Blue Zone” within which residents can go about their business with complete peace of mind, free of interference from unwanted intrusion.

This is achieved by implementing a comprehensive security service which comprises an integrated combination of physical manpower, electronic systems, crime intelligence and management service.

The COPS service typically comprises two distinct levels:

1. The protection of your own property and
2. The general safety and security of the immediate community.

Of course we recognise that all communities are different and what works for one community may not be appropriate for another. In this regard we firtst undertake a consulative process before proposing a security solution. Service options may include: 12 or 24 hour dedicated vehicle patrols, regular adhoc vehicle patrols, or even bicycle or foot patrols.

Where dedicated patrol vehicles are deployed they create a visible deterrent and if an emergency does occur the response times are signficantly reduced, in some cases down to seconds rather than minutes.
